Looking for Editing Services?

I offer a variety of services for writers:

  1. Copy (line) editing: word choice, faulty logic, repetition, weak/awkward phrasing, tightening up sentence structure, sharpening language.
  2. Developmental (big picture) editing: moving/deleting whole chapters/characters, tightening theme, location, dialogue, adding literary devices such as foreshadowing and symbolism, rewriting for target audience/tone. 
  3. Writing coaching (monthly on Zoom): I'll keep you on a writing schedule with monthly Zooms. We review, discuss, sharpen and plan next steps. Readings and writing exercises are optional. 
  4. Manuscript evaluations: I read your work and return it with a 4-8 page report on the major story elements, what's working and what isn't. 
  5. Consultations: I offer one-hour Zoom consultations for writers who have questions about any stage of their work, the publication process, agents and query letters.

Welcome to my site. I'm Gila Green. I've been writing, publishing, coaching, and editing for the last two decades and on this site I want to share my updates and thoughts about writing in general and specifically in Israel, where I write as a Canadian ex-pat and mother of five children.
